Photo
Step into history at the Teatro Tomás Terry, one of Cuba’s most iconic 19th-century theaters, located in the heart of Cienfuegos. Built in 1890 in honor of Venezuelan industrialist Tomás Terry, the theater is a masterpiece of neoclassical and eclectic architecture. Its interior features hand-painted frescoes, gold-leafed decorations, and an Italian-style auditorium with seating for more than 900 guests. Over the decades, the stage has welcomed world-famous artists such as Enrico Caruso. Today, the theater remains an important cultural landmark, hosting concerts, ballets, and traditional Cuban performances that celebrate the region’s vibrant artistic spirit.
