Amsaan Accessible Tours hosts the first Dubai Deaf Festival, celebrating inclusivity, culture, and talent

Amsaan Accessible Tours (AAT), the region’s trailblazer in tailored travel experiences for the Deaf community, proudly announces Dubai’s inaugural Deaf Festival, a landmark event highlighting the UAE’s commitment to inclusivity and accessibility.

This groundbreaking festival serves as a platform to celebrate the vibrant culture and talents of the Deaf community, promote cultural exchange, and position Dubai as a global destination for accessible tourism.

Festival Highlights

The Deaf Festival promises an engaging lineup of activities, performances, and discussions designed exclusively for Deaf individuals. Delivered directly in sign language, the event ensures a truly accessible experience for all participants.

  • Mahmoud and Ebru Comedy Show: A dynamic duo combining sign language humor, improvisation, and cultural references for a memorable performance.

3. Insights from Influential Deaf Leaders

Notable figures such as Mussabbah Al Neyadi, President of the UAE Deaf Association, and Abeer Al Shihi, Interpreter at the Ministry of Community Development, will share their perspectives on accessibility, empowerment, and cultural inclusion.

4. Deaf-Guided Tours to Iconic UAE Landmarks

Participants can explore Dubai’s top attractions, including Expo City Dubai, Festival City, Soluna Beach Club, and a desert safari, all led by Deaf guides for a seamless and inclusive experience.

5. Local Deaf Business Showcase

The festival champions economic inclusion by featuring products and services from Deaf entrepreneurs, fostering opportunities and supporting the community.

A Celebration of Global Collaboration

With Deaf participants from the UAE, Europe, the USA, and Japan, the festival embodies the universal language of unity. The event highlights Dubai’s advancements in accessibility, aligned with the UAE government’s initiatives, such as the Dubai Team for Accessible Travel and Tourism and the People of Determination programs.

Festival attendees will experience a barrier-free environment, thanks to Deaf hosts, sign language interpreters, and local Deaf volunteers. This accessibility-first approach showcases Dubai as a leader in inclusive global tourism.

A Message of Empowerment and Inclusivity

Oleksandr Koltsov, CEO of Amsaan Accessible Tours, expressed the deeper purpose behind the festival:

“With over 11 million individuals experiencing disabling hearing loss in the Middle East alone, the Dubai Deaf Festival is a necessary step toward creating a more inclusive world. Our mission extends beyond tourism—we aim to bridge cultural gaps, promote inclusivity, and empower the Deaf community to achieve anything they aspire to. This festival is a celebration of Deaf culture, talent, and unity, inspiring a collective commitment to accessibility and fairness for all.”
