Which countries can I visit with Amsaan?
We are constantly expanding our horizons! Currently, we offer incredible journeys to destinations: Spain, Jordan, Egypt, Indonesia, United Kingdom, Ireland, Georgia, Italy, Mauritius, Tanzania, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Morocco, United Arab Emirates, France, Czech Republic, Austria.
What sign language do Amsaan guides use?
All our guides are Deaf or hard-of-hearing professionals. They primarily use International Sign (IS). We want to ensure a 100% barrier-free, visual environment. Our Travel Advisors are staffed by experts fluent in International Sign (IS), BSL, ASL, DGS, LSF, Spanish Sign Language, and many others. We speak your language!
What if I don’t know International Sign (IS)?
Don’t worry! Since our guides are Deaf, they are masters of visual communication. Most travelers find they are comfortably chatting with the group by the second day. It’s like a fun, immersive workshop included in your holiday! One of the unique benefits of traveling with us is the "extra value" of expanding your signing horizons! You’ll naturally pick up new signs and gestures from different cultures, making you a more confident global communicator.
How and when do I pay for my tour?
After booking, you will receive a payment link at the email address used for registration.
- Deposit: A 10% deposit is required immediately to secure your spot.
- Balance: The remainder must be paid 40–60 days before the tour starts.
- Note: For "Peak Season" trips (Christmas, New Year, school holidays), the full balance is due 60 days in advance.
Which currencies do you accept?
To make booking easy for our international travelers, we accept payments in US Dollars (USD), Euros (EUR), and British Pounds (GBP).
Are your tours open to hearing people?
Yes! We are inclusive. Hearing friends and family members are welcome, but please remember that the entire experience is designed specifically for the Deaf community, focusing on visual communication and signing. All our guides are Deaf or hard-of-hearing and use only Sign Language.
Are flights included in the price?
Generally, no. Our packages cover the ground program (accommodation, transport, tours). This allows travelers from all corners of the globe to join us. Our team is always ready to provide all the details so you can choose the right flight yourself.
Can I join a tour if I am traveling alone?
Absolutely! Many of our guests travel solo. We can pair you with another traveler of the same gender to share a room (saving you money), or you can request a private single room for an additional fee.
Who owns the company?
Amsaan is built on the principle of "by the community, for the community." Our co-founder is hard-of-hearing, and 80% of our team - including those who organize your trips and work directly with travelers - are Deaf or hard-of-hearing.
Why are your tour prices higher than other travel agencies?
We understand that price is an important factor. At Amsaan, we constantly monitor the market to ensure our pricing is fair and transparent.
It is important to note that many people compare our prices to standard "hearing" travel agencies or solo budget trips. However, a Deaf-led tour is a completely different experience:
- 100% Accessibility: Our tours are designed from the ground up for the Deaf community. This includes specialized logistics, visual safety protocols, and a barrier-free environment.
- Professional Deaf Guides: Unlike standard agencies that may use hearing interpreters, we employ professional Deaf guides who provide direct, deep cultural immersion in sign language.
- Safety & Confidence: We invest more in ensuring every location, hotel, and transport provider meets our strict accessibility and safety standards.
When comparing prices, we encourage you to ask: "Will there be a Deaf guide? Is the entire program planned for visual communication? Will I feel 100% safe and included?" With Amsaan, the answer is always yes. You aren't just paying for a hotel; you are paying for total independence and a community that speaks your language.
What is your position regarding tour offers to Dubai during the current ongoing conflict?
We have our own inbound (DMC) office in Dubai, which allows us to receive first-hand information quickly and provide on-the-ground support to our tourists. At the beginning of the conflict, Amsaan covered the additional accommodation costs for tourists affected by flight cancellations and cared for them until their return flights.
Group programs are planned to resume from October 2026. However, our main priority is the safety of our tourists. We are closely monitoring the situation, and if any safety concerns arise, we offer the flexibility to cancel the tour without penalties or the option to rebook it for other dates and destinations.
